Lance recently joined Maschoff Gilmore & Israelsen from the Austin, Texas, office of Baker Botts. Lance’s practice covers a range of intellectual property matters, focusing primarily on patent prosecution and patent litigation. He has a background in electrical engineering and has experience in prosecuting patent applications relating to a wide range of technologies including geological drilling, software, hardware, telecommunications, and networks. Lance also has experience in preparing opinions and reexamination requests as well as providing support in various areas of intellectual property litigation.

While pursuing his undergraduate degree, Lance worked for the United States Army in the development of a logarithmic amplifier for a LIDAR system used for detecting chemical and biological weapons.

Lance enjoys spending his free time with his wife and children. He also enjoys snow skiing, boating, and other water sports.
