Brian joined Maschoff Brennan Laycock Gilmore Israelsen & Wright from the Washington, D.C., office of Dickstein Shapiro. Brian’s practice focuses primarily on the preparation and prosecution of U.S. patent applications in the electrical and optical arts including analog circuit, digital circuits, optical components, and optical systems. He has also prepared and prosecuted patent applications relating to telecommunications, software systems, business methods, semiconductors, mechanical devices, and medical devices. Brian has also assisted clients in the preparation of opinions of patentability, noninfringement and invalidity as well as providing litigation-related services such as drafting briefs and trial preparation.
Prior to law school, Brian worked for Micron Technologies in the development of high speed testing equipment for memory chips.
Brian enjoys spending his free time with his wife and children. He also enjoys backpacking, hiking, snow skiing, pick-up games of football or soccer, and training for the occasional triathlon or road race.
